Practicing ABA in Switzerland

ABA, although practiced for several years in Switzerland, is still not widespread and not recognised by the state. In 2013, the first Swiss study (SWISS EIPA) was initiated with the aim of having ABA recognised at the federal level.

Certification

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®) is responsible for regulating and overseeing certification in behaviour analytic profession by awarding certification for various levels of training and experience. Through this they guarantee a minimum quality, standard of training and expertise among professional behaviour analysts. We provide an overview of various the routes to certification and the options available in Switzerland.

 

Training and CEUs

In order to maintain certification, BCBAs and BCaBAs are required to engage in continued professional development and training recognised by the BACB. ABA Switzerland provides regular workshops and seminars in which you can accrue Continuing Education Units (CEUs). ABA Switzerland is a BACB Authorised Continuing Education Provider.
