From the 29th till 30th September our president and vice president of ABA Switzerland attended the 10th International ABA conference in Sweden. A lot of the presentations focused on topics of autism and we received valuable inputs for our professional practice.
We also learned about the situation of ABA in Sweden and Norway. At the same time it was still shocking and yet consoling to see that Scandinavian countries still only have a similar number of BCBAs in the country as Switzerland. It was also interesting to hear about their experience in the struggle for funding and professional recognition. Hopefully, the efforts made in these different countries will help advance the the recognition of ABA more broadly in Europe. We look forwards to seeing how the situation progresses.
